Hi all. Nice to hear from so many of you and thanks for telling me you enjoy the newsletter. If anyone knows someone that would be interested in the newsletter, send me their email address here. I'll make sure they get on the list, or just forward them your copy.
Ok, so, 2015 is approaching...lol...what? Yep, I'm saying that because they say by 2015, 75% of the people in the United States will be overweight or obese. Currently, 34% of adults are obese and 68% are overweight or obese!
That leaves just 32% of people who are of proper weight. 13% are in shape! This is not good...no sir, not good at all! We've learned that food is easy to get, can be cheap, and plentiful. We've learned that we can get landscapers to do our lawns, maids to clean our houses (which used to be just for the well to do), and why would be go exercise when there is the internet and television with billions of websites telling us how to lose weight in 2 minutes every day! Woo hoo!
We have all of this, and we still make the excuse that we have no time. "But Mark, I don't have time".
Are you sure about that?
A few newsletters ago, I wrote that there are 1,440 minutes in a day. Well here is a number break down for you. I think you may be able to squeeze in something as important as not being part of this huge overweight, obese and out of shape numbers (by the way, just because your lighter, doesn't make you leaner or fitter).

Just out of curiosity, what was it you had to do that was so important each day that you couldn't fit in 30 minutes to exercise that it was worth losing 3 - 7 years of your life for? And that doesn't mean you'll live that long either. Other complications arise that can cut your life even shorter, and what about the Quality of your life up to that time? I'm sorry, what was it you had to do in those 30 minutes again?
I realize we all have things after work and on weekends, but what happens if you make fitness and weight loss a priority...because, we should. It's the first time in history that they are saying that the average death age is going to go down instead of up! SLAP!! That's us! That's us in this generation of people. The other generations had poverty, illnesses, etc...but us...we have McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza, Restaurants, Cabinets full of chips and dips and cookies and a whole lot of sedentary people.
We did this. We can undo it. One person at a time. Let's start with you. NOW! Not in 2014, but now. Give yourself your life back, in more ways than in years....like in the quality of your life!!
Give me 90 minutes or more a week, and I'll be happy to help you get your life back...but you'll have to watch what you eat, and do the other 90! :)
Now the good news!!!! Anyone can do it! Anyone that wants to, can! It takes time...but it will take less time to add time to your life, than you will lose if you don't.
You'll feel stronger, happier, fitter, more confident, and YOUNGER! Yeah Baby! Younger, who doesn't want to feel younger. The fact is, being overweight or unfit just makes us feel like hell. A woman came in today who is thin, and she was in her mid to late thirties, but she looked like she was in her 20's. Why? Because your skin looks better, your eyes are clearer, your body looks younger and when you walk, you walk with that feeling of ease.
Anyone can do this folks. That's you. "Oh, I can't", "I just can't lose weight or get fit, I've tried"...and that's the key...TRY! You will if you REALLY TRY. Give it time, and do the 30 minutes everyday. Nothing is worth losing 3 - 7 years of your life over that can't be worked around to do what you really NEED to! And shortly after you start, you'll seriously WANT to!
We all have a certain amount of heartbeats in our lives. Fitness lowers your resting and stressed heart rates...which adds years to your life.
If your heart rate went from 80 bpm to 70 bpm, *You've gained 10 heart beats per minute. *You've gained 14,400 heart beat a day *You've gained 5,256,000 heart beats per year You get the idea.
Fitness is about what you're gaining, not about time your losing. If you don't do it, then Lack of Fitness will certainly make you lose something.
So not only will you have gained back the years you'll most definitely lose from being overweight or unfit, but you'll be adding time as well. How cool is that?!
Come down and I'll help you any way I can. It's a first step, but an important one.
