Daily, I get to see people who want to workout, lose weight, get in shape, and just be healthy. We forget about the best reason to workout, and that is the health reason. But hey, why not lose weight, look great too? There are too many reasons we should exercise properly and really only one not to...and unfortunately, that one reason is because we either give up or don't care.
I've done you all an injustice over the last two years. I've tried to make these newsletters geared toward "how to's" and "why's". I never wanted to make this look like an advertisement, and truly believe every person deserves information, not just being told what to do in 30 or 60 minute sessions. But the fact is, getting training and getting all this information in a practical environment is the really the best way to learn and succeed. And for some it's the only way.
My wife, Wendy was talking about someone she is training at work. She's the one that reminded me today that what I do here is more than just telling people things, it's showing them, making them think, making them "do" and that's why those who train here succeed...Thank you Wendy! So today I'm not going to tell you stories, and give you fitness facts and tips...I'm going to tell you why you should be here, and how you'll "DO", you'll LEARN, and you'll SUCCEED because you did it...those are the facts.
Some people are put off by personal trainers. I'll be honest, I am too. Too often their ego gets in the way, and they would rather show what THEY can do, or what THEY do, not what YOU need, or should do. We're all individuals with different lives, and different needs and goals...we can't provide cookie cutter services that are based on our own needs. Some have been hurt by trainers who hand them a weight on the first day and say "Do This", and six months later when they are able to walk again swear they will never go to a trainer again.
Most people don't work out because honestly, they don't know how? You hear so many things, see so many ways of doing it. The most basic information is the best. Resistance training, cardio and proper diet. That's it. Ok, so if it's so easy, why don't I just go to a gym you say? Well, you can. But gyms make their money on those who don't go. A big gym can have 4000 members. 1000 go, and maybe less than half of those go consistently for the entire year. So, there's a good likelihood that you're one of the 3500 who have gone once or twice and never went back because lets face it, we all need some direction...we need help.
I provide that help here. 75% of us will be overweight or obese by the year 2015 (only five years folks). Where will you be in five years if you don't do something now. Tomorrows are all used up. The only time that counts is right now. Yep, summers here, and there will always be a reason or season not to do it. We are exhausted by looking things up, trying things for a week, or a few days, and quit. Fitness isn't a time, it's part of your life, not your whole life, but should be an important part of it.
Don't be a statistic. Don't be a thinker, be a doer. You can't think calories and body fat away.
My clients have all shown success. Some in weight loss, some in showing muscle, some in simply finding the quality of their life is much better. This IS the best way to do it. You get direction, you get information, you have fun, you work with a goal in mind, and to you have a set schedule that ensures you do it. But ultimately, its up to you. Getting into the shape you want to get into takes work on your part. We let ourselves get further and further away from where we want to be, it's going to take time to get to where we want to be. BUT, EVERYONE OF YOU CAN GET THERE.
So, stop for a second. Think and be honest about how many times you think about getting in shape, losing weight or just feeling the best you have in years. Now how many times have you given it your best effort?
Well, if you did nothing because you need help, help is here! If you did something about it, how long did you do it? How much effort did you put in? What were your stumbling blocks? I can help you remove those blocks.
Your workouts and time here are geared toward you! This is not geared toward me. If you follow what you should do, you can lose a good 15 lbs in 12 weeks, and be much smaller than someone else who just dieted, or ran...you're body composition changes here. Muscle is added, and your size shrinks....but be advised, it doesn't happen tomorrow. Remove that tomorrow mentality and remember, fitness and heath, and maintaining a healthy weight is something you'll want to to for the rest of your life. It's so worth the time and effort involved.
Come down and start STARTING! Stop thinking about it and DO IT! I'm here for all of you and for anyone you know who needs help as well. You can do it by yourself, or you can do it with a partner, husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, sister, brother, friend...anyone!
