Hey everyone! And Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, and to all of your families. It's a time for giving thanks for what we have, and what we are about to receive. Give thanks that we have options and choices, and that we can ultimately make our lives better for us, and for the ones around us.
First, I want to let you know, if you don't already, that there is a 5k on Thanksgiving day. It's the 2009 Turkey Trot for SmilesChangeLives. Here's the info for the race and what it's about. Race day registration is also explained in this link, so click here and go out and run, walk, trot....do your thing! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The typical Thanksgiving meal is 2,500 - 3,000 calories! No wonder we all want to sleep right after the meal and a few drinks! It's time for the Thanksgiving coma! We all know the culprits; gravy's, sauces, creamed this and that, major bad carbs, few good ones, tons of bread, pies, and alcohol.
It's like a cocktail for diet and fitness disasters. But what about the day after Thanksgiving? Sure, you should watch it on Thanksgiving, but lets be realistic, most of you aren't going to watch what or how much you eat. But the day after starts a new time for you. What will you do at that new time?
Yeah, it's the holidays, but that's not a reason to throw everything out the window or not start a new fitness and eating regiment. It's about changes. Change is good! Change is healthy! Change is what makes things happen! The next day, you can change things. You can eat right, you can exercise, you can find a new you that maybe you thought didn't exist or never thought you'd get back again!
EVERYONE of you, and every other person out there can make that change. Think of it as a something you are GOING TO DO...not that you'll think of doing. Give thanks to the fact that you have the tools and information to get to your goal. Unfortunately, sometimes there are too many tools and we're not sure which ones to use. Well, what if you do what has worked for others?
A proper diet, and exercise! Tada! you're done! LOL..Yeah, I know, its not as easy as it sounds. But I want to give you all a challenge starting this Friday!
Here's your challenge, and this is going to show you what you can do if you're strict about what you do, and about how good the changes look and feel.
It's a 1 Week Challenge! And I'm offering this only to people in this newsletter. You'll get 1 week access to Fitness By the Bay for $10 to get you started!
While you're here, if I'm not training someone, I'll give you tips on what to do, and how to do it.
It's a one week challenge that if you watch your calories and what you eat, do 3 days of 30 - 40 mins of cardio, and do 3 days of weight training for 30 - 45 minutes, you will lose weight and inches, in just one week, so be strict and be consistent!!!!
The trick is, you have to do all three. I'm not a nutritionist, but below is a list of plain foods that have helped others lose weight. Yep, it's plain, but life has trade offs. Want to lose weight, fit into smaller pants, look and feel the best you ever have? Then stop making food so important. Make fitness important. You're simply switching priorities! Whats important to you?
Plain foods list, click here to see the list, and the woman who has come up with this list. Yes, she's a body builder, but she's in the shape she is in because of what she eats, and what she does.
So this Thanksgiving, give thanks to the fact that there are choices, options and days ahead of you that are full of change that only you can create. It's a feeling of accomplishment, it's an ego booster when everyone is complimenting you, and when you look in the mirror and say, I did this! You'll be giving thanks that you took the time to do it.
Life is short, but not that short that we can't take some time to get ourselves looking and feeling the best we ever have! And if you look around you'll find some amazing success stories about people who are consistent and mindful of what they did, drank, and ate.
Have a GREAT THANKSGIVING EVERYONE, AND DON'T FORGET TO COME IN AND GET ONE WEEK $10 ACCESS TO FITNESS BY THE BAY FOR NEXT WEEK!
