I talk to people all the time about weight, about being fit, and I can't help but be horrified by attitudes of people. I know, doesn't sound all that PC, but I really am. The biggest problem seems to be time frame. How long will this take me to shed X amount of pounds or be able to lift X amount of weight?

When I tell them, "It's a process, and something that will take X amount of time to do", in some instances they'll give me a look of horror! lol. No, It's not instantaneous, and yes you have to watch what and how much you eat. Too many people are looking for the magic bullet. There is no magic bullet.

Well, there is a magic bullet. YOU'RE the magic bullet! Do you really want to lose weight? Do you really want to get in shape? Be the Bullet Grasshopper! Dig in deep and look at what you want, how you feel, and how it may be affecting your life and your health. Now, look at yourself in the mirror. Tell me. Are you the bullet? Do you have it in you to accomplish what so many have? What is totally possible? Are you going to do the work necessary now so you don't have to do it later?

Here's the thing. All those magic weight loss potions out there, aren't magic at all. If you look, you'll see those emails you get, those commercials, and the things that you read about, well, they're gone in a month or two and the next magic item is being forced into your email box, and television...."MUST HAVE SECRET STUFF"! That's what your brain says every time. But did you notice you're getting  more unfit as you wait for the next big thing, that final thing that will finally help you?

Sorry to disillusion you, but it's not out there. YOU ARE THE SOLUTION! Only you!

Now that the last months have gone by, or the last year or more, and you're still waiting, how much have you gained, how much weaker have you gotten? One of the things I hear again and again is, "I don't know what happened? I used to be slim, fit and strong! The last few years suddenly caught up to me and I want to get back to where I was!"

That's right. It took years in most cases for you to get unfit, get unhealthy to gain all that weight and to have increased your dress or pant size. Nothing is going to make it go away tomorrow. BUT, YOU can START TOMORROW! Tomorrow is the day...actually today is, but I'm writing this a bit late...so you can start tomorrow :-)

And if you say, well, I'm not going to wait to get the results, then you'll GET NO RESULTS! That's how it works. Do it, get results, Don't do it, Get no results!

I don't want you to go another day, week, month or year without trying. Without starting. Look in the mirror and then say what you want to look like, what you want to feel like, and YOU, YES YOU can do it! Anyone can. Yep, anyone can do it if they truly want to!

Don't wait one more day. And stop comparing yourself to someone more out of shape than you are! Start worrying about you, not about being better than someone else...that just perpetuates the problem until you're the person someone else is comparing themselves to. And I'm here to help you.

Do it with a friend, your husband, your wife, your daughter, etc...bring in two others to do it with. I'll do group training as well. You'll motivate each other and get in shape together. It's fun. You don't have to kill yourself to be fit, but you do have to do some work, and that work will make you a happier, healthier person.

I'm saddened by the realization that 75% of the population will be overweight or obese by the year 2015! Don't let that be you!
