Fitness By the Bay POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

   
  • Training sessions are approximately 60 minutes long.
  • Proper workout attire is required. Comfortable clothing that won't inhibit your workout.
  • Training sessions are conducted indoors and/or outdoors depending on weather conditions and your preferences.
  • A physician’s clearance may be required prior to the start of training if you are significantly overweight or have pre-existing health conditions.


PAYMENT, REFUNDS, CREDITS AND TRANSFERS

Payments for each month is due before the 1st of the month of training. Credit Cards are automatically billed.

 

Monthly payment options are available for long-term plans, as agreed upon with Fitness By the Bay at time agreement with discounts applied. Fitness By the Bay will refund or credit the unused portion of a plan only due to extenuating circumstances that prevent the completion of the plan as purchased.

Personal training plans can not be transferred to another individual.


CANCELLATIONS

In order to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must contact Fitness By the Bay AT LEAST 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment or you will be charged for that session. (NOTE: Any exception to this policy will be made at the discretion of the trainer.) Similarly, if Fitness By the Bay does not contact you at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you will receive a complimentary half hour session, plus a make up session for the one cancelled.

Cancelled sessions need to be made up by the end of each paid month. For instance, you cancel your session 24 hours in advance for the following day. That session can be rescheduled, but must be made up that same month. If extenuating circumstances exist, missed sessions may be approved to be "Banked" for use at a later date with no added fees.

TARDINESS

All clients and Fitness By the Bay are encouraged to be prompt. If a client is not on time for the scheduled appointment, their time will be deducted from the session at the full session price; conversely, if Fitness By the Bay starts your session late, the amount of time will be added for an extended session.

**NOTE -Please be advised that Fitness By the Bay will wait 15 minutes for a scheduled client, after which time the session is subject to cancellation, and client will be charged for a full session.

INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP SESSIONS

Clients cannot bring other individuals with them during their session. Instead, they can take advantage of our Small Group Personal Training (for two to three people). Personal training can be done in groups, but the people in the group must have similar goals. When Small Group Personal Training is requested, the group must choose a leader with whom the trainer will coordinate session times.

If one member of the group does not show without a minimum of 24 hours notice to Fitness By the Bay, the session will be considered paid for without a makeup session. If it is a prepaid session, the missing individual will not be able to make up that session unless they pay the difference for one full individual session.

REASONING

These policies and procedures have been put into place to protect Clients, as well as Fitness By the Bay from missed sessions, wasted time and lost fitness time or revenues.
